We Treat a Range of Orthodontic Issues
Our doctors are highly trained experts that specialize in the alignment of teeth and finding the right solution for you. Orthodontic problems, which often result from genetic factors but can be exacerbated by environmental factors such as finger sucking, must be diagnosed before treatment begins.
Proper diagnosis involves taking photographs, X-rays, and dental impressions. These painless diagnostic procedures enable us to make informative decisions about which treatment is right for you. Some of the most common problems that can be fixed with orthodontic care are overbites, underbites, overcrowding, and spacing issues.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care about my braces?
Taking care of your teeth and gums becomes extra important when you wear braces, and caring for them means taking the time to brush your teeth and floss regularly. You’ll want to be gentle when you brush or floss in order to avoid damaging the wires and brackets.
We will give you a list of foods to avoid when you have braces on your teeth. Make sure to skip any sticky, chewy or hard foods. Crunchy foods such as popcorn or hard pretzels can also get lodged in the braces or can cause them to snap when you take a bite.
A mouth guard might need to be worn during certain sports to avoid damage during practice or games.
Is there a benefit to early treatment?
We recommend that your child’s first check-up with an orthodontist be performed when an orthodontic problem is first recognized, but no later than age 7. By then, your child has enough permanent teeth for our orthodontists to evaluate the developing teeth and the jaws. We are trained to spot subtle problems even in young children. One of the best things you can do for your child is to help ensure they have a healthy, beautiful smile.
How often will I have to visit during treatment?
On average, you will see your orthodontist about every six to ten weeks during treatment. This allows your orthodontist to make the changes needed to progress through treatment and also allows them to keep an eye on your treatment progress, and monitor the health of your teeth and gums. If any issues arise with your braces, aligners or appliances don’t hesitate to give us a call and come into the office. It is important to us that you’re always comfortable and your teeth are on the right track!
How long does orthodontic treatment take?
Treatment typically takes 6-30 months and is dependent upon age, severity of alignment issues, and the treatment method that is used. Some treatment plans may span several years in younger patients as we coordinate preventative care along with the overall development of the mouth.
